Glo-BNHL

B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (B-NHL) is a form of cancer that develops in the lymph nodes or in organs such as the liver and spleen. For children whose cancer does not respond to treatment (refractory) or returns after treatment (relapsed), achieving a cure can be particularly challenging. Current intensive medication causes many side effects and helps only around one in three children, for this reason there is an urgent need to find better treatment options for children, adolescents and young adults.
Selected experts from around the world carefully assess which new treatments are the most promising and test them in the study. Several treatments can be tested at the same time. If a treatment does not work as well as hoped, it is replaced so that other new treatments can be tested. If a treatment appears to work well, it will continue to be used in the study in order to ensure that it is truly the most effective treatment option available. If the treatment does not help one group, children can be moved to another group and receive a different new treatment.

This study tests:
– How effectively new treatments (used alone or in combination with established treatments) fight cancer in children, adolescents, and young adults;
– Whether these treatments are safe and well tolerated;
– Why some cancer cells remain unaffected by treatment, in order to identify new approaches for future medication
